Photokeratitis or (Snow blindness) is a painful eye condition caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays, most commonly from the natural sun.

Pinguecula is a harmless yellowish raised growth or (bump) on the white part of your eye or (Sclera)

Pingueculum is a common, noncancerous growth or (bump) of the conjunctiva. Conjunctiva is the clear, thin tissue that covers the white part of the eye (sclera).

UV400 lens provides nearly 100% protection from harmful ultraviolet light rays, blocking wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, as well as UVA and UVB rays. 

Ultraviolet, or UV, rays are electromagnetic radiation from the sun. While you cannot see it, UV radiation penetrates the Earth’s atmosphere and reaches your skin and eyes in the form of UVA and UVB waves.

Polarized lens have a special coating that reduces glare, especially on reflective areas like water, asphalt or snow. This is especially helpful when you are surf boarding or just around the water. The sun reflects off the water like a mirror.


Conjunctiva is a thin, clear membrane that protects your eyes.

Sclera is the white outer layer part of the eyeball.

Cornea is the transparent, clear layer forming the front of the eyeball.
